...Base Camp was lovely and is a very interesting place. We had
wonderful tents overlooking the Talek River. We really
appreciated Base Camp's sensitivity to the environment and its
responsibility to the Maasai community nearby. Flamingo Hill
was also great in a very different way. It was very comfortable
even though it is still quite new and the staffs, who come from
a variety of backgrounds and places within Kenya, were very
nice. They provided a good celebration for Lissa's birthday on
the 18th.
Geoffrey was an excellent driver. We liked his friendliness to
everyone everywhere we went and admired his willingness to help
out other drivers, who were not as good or as well-prepared as
he was. Considering the wet conditions we encountered in
certain places within the parks, we were lucky to have Geoffrey
